A: When your present web hosting provider can no longer match the necessities of your site, or when you undergo regular network downtime, or if you have to wait for hours for the client care team to get back to you, it might be smart to change your web hosting provider, i.e. to transfer all the files for your web sites as well as your databases from your present provider to your future provider. At katarisoft, we understand that this can often be hard & time–consuming. That’s the reason why we will do all that for you at no cost!Our qualified technical team will migrate your site content from your current web hosting provider to us. Our technicians have got plenty of experience migrating websites and are able to handle everything – from a traditional WordPress–based blog or Joomla^™–driven site, to an extremely complex, custom–made web application.

A: While we can’t give you a precise ETA, since there are lots of factors, among them the physical size of the files and databases, the physical location of the present host’s server, the complexity of your web site and the present workload of our Website Migration Department, etc., we’ll do our best to migrate your site within 48h, and in some cases – within 24h (when the content is not large).

A: Yep. We will need the name of the web site that you would like us to move. We will also require a means to log into your current hosting account so that we can get the content pertaining to your website.

A: Before we can begin the migration of your account, you must already have an account with us. Opening an account with us will require that you to share essentially the same details you have provided to your current host. We also have an extremely rigid Privacy Policy, which specifies how personal data is tackled.

A: While we migrate your website, it will be available both in your web hosting account with us and in your account with your previous web hosting provider. Once the transfer is finished, we will make certain that everything is working properly and that the integrity of your data is not jeopardized prior to telling you that the transfer is finished. Then we’ll instruct you how to move the domain name over to your web hosting account with us and how to edit your DNS records.

A: Nope. Apart from your login details for the Control Panel, we won’t require anything. We’ll never contact your web hosting provider. They will not know anything about the transfer either.

A: We can migrate your website from any hosting provider or any Linux–based web hosting platform so long as we can get access to the Control Panel and there is File Transfer Protocol access available.The only sites that we can’t transfer are those based on closed–source software apps like Wix, BaseKit, Jimdo, Website Tonight, Four Square and Mr Site.
